Memphis Rapper P. Moses Files Copyright & Trademark Infringement Lawsuit against Youtube & Google

(Memphis, TN - November 1, 2012) – Pamela Moses better known as Memphis rapper P. Moses announced today that she has filed a civil lawsuit against YouTube Inc., YouTube LLC, Google Inc., and Shira Krasnow for copyright and trademark infringement.

The complaint was filed in the United States District Court Western District of Tennessee on October 15th, 2012 Chief U.S. District Jon P. McCalla issued an order of process to be delivered by the United States Marshall for service on the Defendants.  Moses pleas that a non-established rapper from Pittsburgh named “Lil Miss Muffin” stole her idea and misappropriated use of her logo, to introduce a video with a similar title. The song Pimpin Pretty is copyrighted material owned by P. Moses who holds YouTube and Google responsible for hosting the confusing content on its popular site.

The 5 time ASCAP PLUS award winner who created the original brand of marketing tools for the Hip Hop song entitled “Pimpin Pretty”, “Pretty Pimp”, and/or “The Pretty Pimp”, the acronym for Pretty P. I. M. P. is “Positive Intelligent Motivating Person”, was composed in 2004. The original song’s branding and promotional materials consist of logos, sound recordings, and trademarked designs. These materials cost an estimating $3500 for Pimpin' Pretty Vol. 1 mix-tapes and song production, $6500 for Pimpin Pretty Vol. 2, and estimating $50,000 dollars on all marketing and promotions throughout the seven years.

The seven year old song was infringed by YouTube user “Shira Krasnow” and delivered by YouTube, which was unauthorized use of P. Moses’ copyrights, sound recordings, trademark, and photos. LIBK Records are very offended because Shira Krasnow is misrepresenting the already established brand.

P. Moses goal is to make an example out of any and all parties who refuse to develop their own original ideas and/or choose to steal intellectual property, and creative concepts from real artist who have essentially invested and sacrificed their life for their careers. P. Moses and label intend to make Google and YouTube accountable for profiting from this exploitation and allowing fraudulent artist to upload infringed content to their site.
