Asked about the development of the story idea, Bernstein confided the idea of a woman trapped in "Locked-in Syndrome" came from a neighbor, many years ago, who suffered an anesthetic accident during relatively minor surgery, ending up in a coma. TRAPPED, started over 20 years ago, has changed and grown numerous times through edits and rewrites as Bernstein developed his craft. Always a gifted writer, he attended seminars and conferences to better learn what makes good fiction. In the process, he's developed a substantial talent and unique voice. As a "World-Class"
Bernstein, the retired president of a small, publicly-held company, lives in south Florida. He is the author of 3 other soon-to-be published novels, and a non-fiction book, TOOTHY CRITTERS LOVE FLIES, the definative work on fly-fishing for pike & musky.
