"People know me so well for running the StreetPass NYC subset of the StreetPass Network that people are shocked when they find out I've live in New Jersey after they StreetPass me", said Jordan White, Founder and Event Organizer of both NYC and NJ groups. "I've had a childhood in Kearney, an adolescence in Rutherford and now an adult life in Clifton. It's been my dream for awhile now to launch a Nintendo 3DS StreetPass club near my area but my time managing StreetPass NYC was always holding me back until now."
StreetPass North Jersey Gateway is a subset of the StreetPass Network that will cover the Gateway Region of New Jersey which encompasses the Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Union and Middlesex counties. The group will focus the majority on Passaic, Bergan and Essex but will venture out to farther places and to tourist locations like the Shore when the weather and timing is right. Unlike the behemoth that is the New York City StreetPass group, North Jersey Gateway will focus on having local, easy to travel to personal meetings without the worry of video game deadlines or major publicity.
Their first meeting will be held on Friday, November 9th from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the GameStop (Store: 552) located on the second floor of the Westfield Garden State Plaza (locally known as the Garden State Mall) conveniently located at the intersections of Rt. 4 & Rt. 17 and off Exits 160 & 163 from the Garden State Parkway in Paramus, NJ. Come stop by anytime you want to meet fellow Nintendo 3DS gamers. A quick trip down the escalators is the food court just in case you get hungry.
At around 6:00 PM we plan on hosting a Kid Icarus: Uprising Tournament (LIGHT vs DARK, Banned Weapons: Magnus Club, Banned Powers: Play Dead, Spite, Pisces Heal, Libra Sponge, Aries Armor, and Trade-Off, 6 Minute Time Limit) to win a few packs of Kid Icarus Series One Boosters. If you never earned cards or only bought them online, you don't want to miss this!
