Most active Glasgow agent for a decade

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 2, 2012 - It’s official, Ryden is Glasgow’s most active property agent after winning EGi’s annual deals competition for the tenth year in a row.  The firm is also home to the city’s most active deal maker after office agency associate Tim Jacobsen was recognised for his deal-making prowess.

The firm picked up both awards at Estates Gazette’s Focus reception and to make it a clean sweep Glasgow Managing Partner Ewan Cameron also scooped the raffle prize.

An analysis of EGi’s data revealed that Ryden was accountable for a quarter of all commercial property deals transacted in Glasgow during the year to 30 September 2012, equivalent to 2.4 deals per week over the 12-month period. This is particularly impressive when you consider its closest competitor claimed 12%.

Turning to the office and industrial markets, Ryden handled 28% and 41% of all deals, whilst its competition accounted for 13% and 22% respectively.  

Office market highlights for Ryden include acquiring 12,046 sq ft for the Student Loans Company at 100 Bothwell Street, the sale of 13,650 sq ft at The Square, Milton Street to Key Housing Association and the 9,617 sq ft letting to Vaillant at Maxim Office Park.

Key industrial market highlights include securing a pre-let of 22,200 sq ft at Clyde Gateway East to Glacier Energy Services on behalf of MEPC/SCOT Sheridan/Clyde Gateway, securing a surrender and the re-letting of 14,000 sq ft to Decco Group at Kingston Bridge Trading Estate on behalf of UK Prem and the sale of 45,000 sq ft for New Properties at Kilbrinie Street to United Properties.
