Presently in India nor internationally there isn't any manufacturer who has manufactured Electric cruiser motorbike. There are electric motorbikes which runs less than or equal to 25km/hr and for which there is no registration required as per ARAI norms. But these are costly and looks like a cycle which shows in their sales figure (for example: X manufacturer introduced electric bikes whcih were costly arround Rs.34000 or more with speed less than 25km/hr and looks ugly hence no one bought the same). Introducing this electric cruiser bike which can be powered by 11KW DC motor which is equal to 15 bhp would be right concept. this should be priced at around Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000. This will be a competition to all normal as well as Indian cruiser bike. Electric bike has got all positive concept with one negative concept which is, charging takes time. This is where common man plays role and is a business point for small shopkeepers. Battery shops can keep these batteries charged which can be interchanged by the customer like refueling within minutes for a cost. Customer will own his bike but will rent batteries. Thus solving the problem of charging. Customer will have 2 choice charge at home or rent out battery. Electric bikes have also got less production cost since there is no complex engine involved.
This concept will not only help the one who is manufacturing to earn but the authorized sales, service center and the battery rental small shops to earn. To take this concept to next level, Solar energy should be preferred by the battery renting or charging shops to charge the same.
Once this concept is successfull in India this can be launched internationally too. Green technology is allways wellcomed in all nations.http://www.sparktherise.com/projectdetails.php?pId=7474
