Gold Certification” from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), for its in-house initiatives implemented at VMC’s Maheshwaram Factory. IGBC issues different levels of certification for rating the Green Building Standards addressing sustainability in industrial building.
Expressing his views on the award, Mr.B.Venkataramana, Executive Director, VMC Systems Ltd, commented, “We are extremely pleased to have received the ‘Gold certification’
from an esteemed body like the IGBC. To demonstrate our commitment towards a greener tomorrow, we have taken great care to ensure that our new manufacturing plant adheres to the universally set benchmarks of the IGBC making it an eco-friendly, energy-efficient facility.
VMC’s 75,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in Hyderabad , is designed using innovative architecture such as Heat Island Effect on Roof and Parking Area and Optimize Energy Performance, site selection and planning, natural lighting and ventilation, rain water harvesting and water re-cycling along with resorting to the use of energy efficient & resource efficient building materials.
With its “Green Certified Factory”, one of the first in the Indian manufacturing segment, VMC promises to provide a clean, healthy and safe workplace for all its employees and also the environment in which they operate.
As an "IGBC Green Certified Factory" we tend to curtail the negative impact on the environment caused by factory related pollution which is the number one source of pollution in the world.
