Follow on Google News | Author Theresa M. Moore To Explore Legal Recourse Against KDP For Restoration of Content RightsCiting a copyright issue with a short story claimed by a third party content pirate, the author of 'Tap Root' is seeking legal representation to reclaim her rights against both Amazon and KDP.
By: Antellus "You cannot imagine the anger and shock with which I received this news," Moore said. "I was already debating removing my ebooks from KDP for a consistent lack of sales over the last nine months, when this occurred. Not only were my rights stripped from me for a work I wrote, I was made to be the culprit in this situation. I expect to be allowed to exit KDP permanently, and restitution of my rights to the content to be immediate. KDP is clearly in violation of the legal contract I entered into with it. Not only that, I will expect Jonathan Suarez to be arrested and tried for extortion. If I find that KDP is complicit in any other way, I will seek financial and punitive damages for the humiliation and emotional distress both Amazon and KDP have dealt me." Moore is the author of 16 books, two of which are out of print, and several short stories and essays. End
