Kendal at Lexington Welcomes Director of Resident Services

As the Director of Resident Services, Karen will be responsible for the Resident Life Program, Social Services and Wellness. In this newly created position, Karen will work to enhance existing programs for residents as they move through the continuum of care. She will also collaborate with Kendal leadership and residents to develop new programs.

Karen is a graduate of Lexington High School and Longwood University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She is currently attending Averett University in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Before joining Kendal, Karen served as a Senior Market Advisor with Carilion Clinic, a role that was part of the corporate Strategic Development Department.  Karen previously worked as a member of the Senior Management Team and Director of Community Development at Stonewall Jackson Hospital prior to the sale of the facility. Her professional background includes oversight of social services, activities programs, community health programs, volunteers, marketing and public relations.  

Karen is a native of Lexington and lives in Collierstown with her husband, Kirk. She enjoys outdoor activities, music, and arts and crafts in her spare time.
