Many members of this community have family and friends in the affected areas of New York and New Jersey. The Grace Place is already moving to put the prayers and well wishes of this community into action.
“We believe that we need to do more than just express our concern for people affected by the storm,” says Senior Pastor, Rick Addison. “We need to demonstrate our compassion and concern in specific and tangible ways. What good do we really do when we tell someone in need of food or clothing, ‘I hope you find what you need?’ Our hearts should be so moved that we take the shirt off of our back and the food off our own plate to help someone in need. That’s why we are putting together this effort to send a truck load of supplies to a church centered in the affected area.”
A truck has been rented for transport of all of the donated items to Shore Fellowship (http://shorefellowship.net/
Please, for health and safety reasons, bring only new, still in the package, items.
