PRLog - Nov. 1, 2012 - DUMONT, N.J. -- February is an Important Month for Hojiblanca Olive Oil

For the First Time This Year Hojiblanca Took its Message about Heart Disease Prevention to the Airwaves

New Jersey based Hojiblanca USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of Grupo Hojiblanca Spain, the largest producer of extra virgin olive oil and table olives in the world. This October, Hojiblanca made its first American television debut on the popular morning show “The Balancing Act” (http://www.thebalancingact.com/)  to discuss heart healthy recipes and ways to prevent heart diseases. The show is on the Lifetime TV Network and it brings solutions to the modern woman to help her balance her life, career, and family.

Another segment will air on February 4 at 7 am titled “New Year New You...Ingredients for a Heart Healthy Cooking.” The segment will discuss the many studies associated with the consumption of extra virgin olive oil and how it is of great interest in the prevention of certain cardiovascular risks. Also, there will be a chef making three heart healthy recipes. Here’s a preview of it: http://www.thebalancingact.com/video/?v=R9534GD1S04194

Hojiblanca knows how serious heart diseases are in the United States, especially when it comes to women. In fact, heart disease is the number one killer of women in the US. It is also a leading cause of disability among women. Nearly 1 in every 2 American women has high or borderline high cholesterol. The older a woman gets, the more likely she is to get heart disease which is why it’s so important to start eating healthy at an earlier age.

Extra virgin olive oil is powerful because of its anti-inflammatory antioxidants. Also, its capacity to increase the regeneration of the endothelium: a thin layer of flat epithelial cells that lines serous cavities, lymph vessels, and blood vessel which is fundamental in reducing the risk of heart problems such as “Arteriosclerosis” known as the hardening of the arteries. “Adding good quality extra virgin olive oil to one’s diet and exercising are ways to prevent heart diseases. Watch our segment to learn how important it is to choose a good olive oil,” said Enrique Escudero, CEO of Hojiblanca USA, Inc.

Below are the three heart healthy recipes that will be showcased on the segment. They are easy to make, and most importantly good for the heart. (Pictures attached in the email).
