In addition to this increase, there has been a change in the origin of app users - the percentage of users from Barbados dropped 5.15% to 24.85%. This reflects an increase in users from other markets; the number of app users from the UK has increased 153% and users from Germany increased 230%.
Regional Sales Director, Monique Welch, is very encouraged by the increase in users. She says "iLandGuide is a great app and these numbers reflect people who are finding the app primarily through social media and organic searches. I can't wait to see the numbers skyrocket once we launch our local marketing campaign!"
The iLandGuide Barbados team has lots to celebrate; the number of people who are consistently updating the app has increased to 81.14% and the average person spends 9 minutes viewing the app. Theses stats are significantly higher than a standard website.
Despite a few delays, the team is working overtime to install their airport and cruise terminal advertisements this month which is sure to boost downloads even further. Later in November, the app will be officially launched at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society.
