Brand0 or Brando? Fans want to know what Brannon Bates is thinking...

Oct. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- The question around Hollywood lately has been, who is this guy, where did he come from, and How do you say his name, oh and does he have a last name??? or is it like Cher or something... Okay I know that's more than one question but... What's going on???

We tried tracking down the man behind the mystery Brannon Bates, better known as Brando for his recent MTV music videos where he screams like Freddy Mercury and takes control of the stage like KISS. If you don't know who he is, just ask your kids, they know. We couldn't reach Brannon and quickly found out that he is quite the recluse, but we did reach his publicist and at least got a few of our questions answered.

It seems that the singer did in fact change his name to BrandØ after running into marketing problems because of sharing the same name with the old iconic movie actor. But we also found out a little more. We asked where the stage name Brando came from and they told us that Brannon Bates was and is a huge Bruce Willis fan and Bruce has the stage name Bruno for his music, so Brannon wanted something similar for his music personality. Once his fans began searching for him on the internet and couldn't find his CD for sale, the marketing team decided to change the name to something more original by adding the zero to the name BrandØ.

Brannon Bates has brought some very eye catching music videos lately as well as directing and starring in a couple of films that were highly critically acclaimed and he has been referred to as the Clark Gable of the young film stars rising today. You can find Payback Jack on DVD and online for streaming, and I highly recommend giving it a watch, I've seen it several times already and still can't put all the pieces together in this mystery noir thriller.
