Living Smart Diabetes Health Expo

Oct. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – The Florida Hand Center is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s Living Smart Diabetes Health Expo being held at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County on November the 3rd.  This event will feature a lecture series, healthy cooking demonstrations, and free health checks. This free event starts at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until 1:00 p.m. The latest diabetic products such as insulin pumps, pen devices, and meters will be showcased at this event.  Florida Hand Center will have a table as well, so please stop by!

The public is invited to join this free event and take part in the many fun activities, as well as the free health screenings. The health screenings will include testing of hearing, vision, feet, blood sugar, and blood pressure. There will also be guest speakers, one of which is our own Dr. Olarte, who will discuss diabetes and the hand. So if you think you may be experiencing any symptoms that may be akin to diabetes or if you currently have diabetes and are looking for help to manage it, this event is for you.

Also taking place at this event will be a performance by local tap dancers and an appearance by the ADA Red Riders, who show their solidarity at so many events throughout South Florida. So take part in the annual Living Smart Diabetes Health Expo happening this weekend in Port Charlotte. We hope to see you there!
