“The Turkish ITC market has demonstrated a steady and consistent pattern of growth – in 2012 we expect the growth to be on the northern side of the 10% mark,” says Fikret Idil Associate Partner with TBK Consult Turkey. "While all segments of the market are demonstrating healthy growth rates it is encouraging to see the substantial growth in the SMB sector and in consumer demand. Turkey is also the home of a young and dynamic entrepreneurial class developing software-based solutions with a clear global market potential. Using the TBK Consult network and tool set, we are well positioned to help both foreign providers into the Turkish market, as well as helping the Turkish vendor community with realizing their ambitions for global growth.”
The main sectors driving demand for ITC related products and services in Turkey have been government, finance and the major corporations. This picture is forecast to have changed in 2012 where more than 50% of the demand for ITC related products and services have been generated by consumers and the SMB market. A growing consumer and SMB market will provide opportunities for the smaller international software vendors as well as for the local Turkish providers. With 80 million people, a stable political system and a steady and growing economy, Turkey is one of the most promising markets in Europe. Turkey thus represents a much more attractive value proposition to the European software vendors than the heavily promoted BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China).
"We are extremely pleased to have Fikret Idil joining TBK Consult in Turkey, where we have been operating since 2010", says Hans Peter Bech, CEO of TBK Consult. "With Fikret on board we can extend our help to our clients with bootstrapping, bridgehead and scaling initiatives in this important and fast growing part of the European market. Fikret is also well positioned to assist the Turkish software industry to realise their global potential."
