Polenberg Cooper Grows Following Merger With Two South Florida Boutique Law Firms

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 31, 2012 - MIAMI – Polenberg Cooper, a leading South Florida complex commercial litigation firm, has acquired two legal practices expanding the firm’s practice base and regional presence. The firm has entered into agreements with Riesberg Law in Miami and Brad K. Saunders, P.A. in Sunrise, Fla.

The new partners joining Polenberg Cooper are Barbara J. Riesberg and Brad K. Saunders. The firm will change its official name to Polenberg, Cooper, Saunders, & Riesberg, PL, but will continue doing business as Polenberg Cooper. It will also modify its business model to meet the business challenges facing clients added Partner Jon Polenberg.

An experienced litigation lawyer with 20 years experience, Riesberg focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including trials and appeals, as well as securities arbitration. She regularly litigates claims for breaches of contracts and other commercial agreements, business torts, securities issues, employment issues, property development, foreclosure and other real estate disputes. Riesberg also counsels her clients on strategies designed to avoid protracted and costly litigation.

Saunders brings an exceptional combination of commercial transactional and transactional tax experience.  With more than 22 years of practice, he has counseled businesses regarding all aspects of their ownership and operation, and has structured the tax aspects of their transactions.  His clients include large and small companies in myriad industries including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, agricultural, healthcare, insurance, and other service industries.  

The expansion gives Polenberg Cooper, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., an office in the Brickell area, one of downtown Miami’s major business districts.
