5th Annual Student Case Competition of the APICS Northeast District to be held in Albany, NY on February 1st and 2nd, 2013. Registrations on first come/first serve basis; deadline no later than December 31st, 2012

Nov. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The APICS Northeast District Student Case Competition is open for team registrations.  It is the 5th annual event and is being held in Albany, NY on February 1st and 2nd, 2013.

"It is a great opportunity for students to utilize their skills and demonstrate the concepts they have learned, in a competitive, fun and supportive environment" notes Jennifer Kevlin, CPIM, CSCP, the APICS Northeast District Manager.  She goes on to mention that "this year's Grand Prize winning team will earn an expense paid trip to the APICS International Conference in Orlando, FL in October 2013".

There is both an undergraduate and graduate flight in the competition.  Teams of 3-4 students are given a case study on Friday evening and develop solutions to the case. They then turn in a short written summary and give a presentation to a slate of judges.

"One of the most attractive benefits of our competition", says Jennifer, "is that the panel of judges is made up of CEO's, Academic leaders, APICS leaders and Consultants."   This gives the students great exposure as they near their graduation and are expanding their networks.
