Early Autism Intervention Games Go on Web

The recently launched web version of iLearnNEarn can accommodate more autistic students at virtually no cost, giving teachers and therapists a powerful, all-in-one special education tool, say WebTeam Corporation and Rangam Consultants, Inc.

Oct. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- The iLearnNEarn autism series – co-developed by WebTeam Corporation and Rangam Consultants, Inc. – is now available online for teachers, therapists and parents willing to give technology a try to ensure children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) receive the type of early intervention that fuses a lot of fun with teaching and learning.

While iPhone and iPad apps for autism treatment have been enjoying massive popularity within the special needs education community, WTC and RCI have expanded their wings a bit further to make special education available at a click of the mouse.

To access iLearnNEarn from a web browser, teachers first need to create an account before they can add as many students as required. For the intervention to be effective, each student can be assigned personalized lessons depending on his/her learning needs. The play part in the series is creative and engaging for learners who receive positive reinforcement on successful completion of a task.

“There are parents who hesitate to leave their expensive gadgets with an infant. We believe the web version of iLearnNEarn would be their first choice. Besides, there is no cost in setting up an intervention approach that has already got the nod from ABA professionals countrywide. Special educators in particular might wholeheartedly welcome the launch of the web version, as they need to deal with a lot of students,” said Bhargav K, Quality Analyst at the India office of WebTeam Corporation and Rangam Consultants, Inc.

“We already have the iLearnNEarn app series on iTunes and Google Play. The beginning of the new school year in September has had a drastically positive impact on the download count of our autism apps. Now with the web edition ready, we expect the favorable trend to continue over the next three quarters,” said Nish Parikh, the brain behind Shanesh COLORS Program for technology-driven autism intervention. Parikh is also the CEO of WebTeam Corporation and Vice President of Rangam Consultants, Inc.

“The web adaptation of Shanesh’s existing apps brings good news for parents who don’t have the iPad or similar devices. It also sends out positive signal to the proponents of applied behavior analysis, who insist on delivering behavioral intervention immediately after an autism diagnosis is made,” Parikh added.
