New Lightweight Concrete Pier and Wall Caps from Cresco Concrete Products, LLC

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 31, 2012 - Cresco Concrete Products, LLC has introduced a new line of lightweight concrete pier and wall caps.  These unique caps are produced using the company’s innovative cellular concrete technology.  An environmentally friendly chemical foaming agent is mixed with regular concrete introducing a multitude of discrete air pockets within the mix resulting in caps more than 50% lighter than if made from conventional concrete.

The benefits of these steel reinforced caps include easier handling and lower freight costs.  “These are very easy to lift into place and cut effortlessly and cleanly with a concrete saw” says Peter Thompson, Cresco’s Technical Advisor.

Pier caps have pyramid shaped tops with sizes of 11 inches square by 2 ¼ inches tall and 24 ¼ inches square by 5 inches tall.  Wall caps have gable shaped tops with sizes of 8 inches and 12 inches deep.  Wall caps are all 24 inches long and 2 ½ inches tall.  Pier caps are typically installed on the tops of brick, block or cast columns for protection and aesthetics.  Wall caps finish the top of a wall and provide protection from the elements.
