To this end, The Awakening HIV/AIDS Walk and Concert with the focus on youth and young adults will take its inaugural place in Dallas, Texas on November 3, 2012. The 6th Annual Christian Youth AIDS Walk/Rally is an empowering opportunity for us to bring forth a change and awareness in the community. Its goal and objective is to inform the youth of available community resources and assistance. Minister Richardson the host of internet radio show, “Sound Doctrine”. “HIV/AIDS is a global epidemic and it is taking a toll on our youth here in Atlanta, it my prayer that through this event we can promote awareness, prevention, and provide hope to those directly and indirectly affected by this disease,” says Richardson.
Registration will begin at 7:30a.m. and the walk of approximately 300 walkers will begin at Fair Park and end at City Hall Plaza in Dallas. The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by a star-studded concert beginning at noon. The walk will be inclusive of all youth ministries, youth organizations;
There is no fee to walk or participate in the festivities. Sponsors and donations have assisted and are still being accepted. Donations are accepted via PayPal on www.theawakening2.weebly.com . The Grapevine HIV/AIDS Foundation is a non-profit organization whose vision is to heal all manner of sickness and disease through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Ghost. The mission is to educate youth, parents, pastors, and community members through social media and community involvement.
