First Ever Chicago Haunted House Actor & Actress Of The Year Crowned!

Oct. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- In 2012, Chicago Halloween Guide launched the Nation’s First Ever Online Voting Competition for Haunted House Actors. The voting was open to all Chicago Area Haunted Attraction Actors and Actresses.

         31 of Chicagoland’s top haunt performers submitted bios and photos, and received votes from fans, friends, and peers throughout all of October. Several of the Actors received thousands of votes, and when the smoke cleared, there were two winners with vote totals so high and so close, it was almost remarkable.

         Actor Jeff Walker, whose massively popular and terrifying character “Fluffy” has been an iconic mainstay at Statesville Haunted Prison in Crest Hill, IL, for many years, takes home the Haunted House Actor of the Year Honors for 2012.

         Actress Stevie Calabrese, also a respected makeup and costuming pro, portrays “Nurse Sharon Needles,” “Auntie Mom,” and “Ziggy Zag” at The Realm of Terror Horror Experience in Round Lake Beach, IL. She takes home the official Haunt Actress of the Year Award.

         The Professional Halloween Community has rallied around these great actors, and now Chicago Halloween Guide has publically announced and proudly congratulates both Jeff Walker and Stevie Calabrese on this well-deserved honor.

         The goal of this voting process, which began October 2nd on ChicagoHalloweenGuide.com, was to place greater emphasis on the often-overlooked, talented, and hardworking Actors and Actresses who make Halloween tick.
