Delhi Collage of Art holds preview of “ MASK”
50 Indian artists headed for Indian Contemporary Arts exhibition in Italy
New Delhi, 31st October, 2012: Delhi Collage of Art today held a preview of ‘MASK’, an Exhibition of Indian Contemporary Arts , that is being held over ten days in Italy in the first week of November. Said, Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi, Director, Delhi Collage of Art and one of the country’s leading fine art exponents, “ Indian artists have reached some 300 painted masks to Italy for the exhibition. About 50 similar painted masks are being exhibited here to give a flavor of the exhibition to Indian patrons.” Prithviwasi is prominent among the group of12 Indian artists, that includes, Ravinder Kumar Verma, to be traveling to Italy for the event.
The preview was attended by the who’s who of Delhi art circles, and was also a sort of send off dinner for the artists headed abroad. This exhibition is supported by the Italian Cultural Centre and the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, and is a much anticipated event both in Italy and India.
