Bleach* Festival Announces First Run of Artists

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 30, 2012 - Bleach* Festival proudly announces triple j as media partners for 2013 and with that comes a bill that is sure to have venues across the Southern Gold Coast buzzing well into the late summer.

Kicking off proceedings in our list of headliners are Aussie hip-hops spiritual leaders, Sydney’s URTHBOY. Urthboy have recently secured the coveted triple j feature album of the week and a Top 15 debut on the ARIA album chart. Joining them is Melbourne’s ARIA award nominated kings of indie disco OH MERCY, album feature album artists on triple j in their own right and proud owners of the one of this year’s most acclaimed albums in “Deep Heat”.

BUSBY MAROU has had an incredible 2012 winning APRA and Deadly awards and their debut album in closing in on gold. More importantly their reputation as a live band has them in the Top 5 of most pundits gig of the year lists. The final headline slot goes to much loved Brisbane punk rockers VIOLENT SOHO recently returned from 2 years of gruelling touring in the US with triple j Top 5 single “Tinderbox” and a live show that will see your jaw hitting the floor.

LOON LAKE and OCEANICS will be getting things rolling at the opening night indie extravaganza while THELMA PLUM joins the beach vibes at Burleigh. THE MEDICS and KINGSWOOD join one of the most exciting rock n roll bills that you will find anywhere this summer and rounding out the hip-hop bill is DIAFRIX and SEVEN.

Legendary Coolangatta party house Neverland have put up their hand to host unique after parties for each Friday and Saturday night of the event with guest DJ’s pulled from the event line up and beyond.

BLEACH* 2013 will run from February 22 – March 3 with a pre bleach weekend on Saturday 16 Feb and Sunday 17 Feb in Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach
