Most Americans do not know where their beef comes from, in fact, unless the sought after quality beef is source verified, there is no way to accurately know.

Oct. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- More then ever before, Americans should pay closer attention to their beef’s source.  In addition, considerations to what hormones are being injected into that beef.

Many beef producers strategically cut corners and use hormone injections to get the most beef they can get, which in turn harnesses the most cash.  The economy, the raising population, and the ever increasing demand for beef have caused producers to look for alternative ways to make their sales goals.

Beef producers reported practices of importing substandard beef, coupled with hormone injections, has caused numerous scientific questions to the safety of beef that is non-natural as defined by the USDA.

www.QualityBeef.org will conduct an investigation in conjunction with World Class Journalism icon IJRNEWS to issue a three part study of this process and independent evaluation.

Raising quality beef is challenging to beef producers but some have taken these challenges too far according to many scientist and experts. This joint investigation will look in-depth at three subject areas that lead a growing number of concerns in the beef industry.

For this study, these are;

I.        Complete Source Verification.
II.
       Natural Beef producers as defined by the USDA (and those that adhere to not using antibiotics and growth promoting hormones,   natural and non-natural beef producers that make use hormones, synthetic weight gainers, and antibiotics.
III.        Vegetarian or grass (corn) diet versus grain.

Investigation in beef quality initial study of Source Verification  which is defined as a high tech system implemented to assure / guarantee where the meat or beef a consumer eats  comes from.  This tracks  every step of the life to consumption process.  Datastar’s Global Track™ system is the only fully integrated source verification system in the industry and provides an audit trail of information by cataloging data at various points along the supply chain, including farm, ranch, processing plant, testing laboratory, transport vehicles, storage facilities, supermarkets and restaurants.

Quality Beef believes it is important to verify the safety of its products to not only protect a beef producer’s business, but to protect consumers as well. With the use of technology and source verification, consumers can be reassured that the products they eat are close to 100% safe.

Source Verification allows record keeping of livestock including health records, feed records, and genetic history. In the event of a recall, another level of safety is provided to the customers through the depth of the records.
