The aim of the service is to allow a person to give a last good-bye, memoir, or advice to loved ones after they have passed away in the hope it will provide emotional support in their family and friends' time of grieving.
Not only does it aim to provide this support, but recipients can hold on to their keepsakes for years down the road. This may help keep their memory alive in a unique and touching way.
The service offers three different options based on a person's needs. There is a 30-day trial period for anyone wishing to test the service beforehand. In addition to the services provided, Afterthoughts Media will donate 5% of all sales to local charities.
The service currently only operates in the United States, as it requires a valid Social Security number to accurately monitor the Death Index.
