Just another vampire story or is it? The story starts off in the sleepy little Mid West Nebraska town of Wauneta. The barber shop is full of local guys discussing days gone by and that weird old fella with the pointy ears and long fingernails, who lives in their town. Who would have thought a Nosferatu could be found in the middle of nowhere on the plains?
Vlad is not just any old vampire as the reader involves themselves in his life. He builds sets for school plays and donates untold amounts of money to children's charities. He takes his time to sit at his workbench and create Marionette Puppets with his long fingernails. Now that's the Nosferatu for us!
Best of all he gave up drinking blood a few centuries ago and prefers Vegetable Juice. This guy would make an awesome spokesperson for the V8 Juice Company. Vlad loves running around in Forklifts and has a few stashed away for rainy days. Vlad has secrets that travel with him everywhere and some of his friends come under the category of bug like creatures. Sounds like a great Disney Movie doesn't it?
Vlad stashed little scarab like beetles away he calls the Disgusting Babies, in his luggage from the old country. They come out and cause havoc from time to time in his little town and have the local exterminator completely baffled. Vlad also has friends in powerful places even though he doesn't seem to remember them.
In The Book The Great Halloween Bash, http://chroniclesofvladimir.com/
His child like innocence has served him well and his loss of memory protects him from a dark and lonely past. The story captivates the real essence what truly matters and this could easily become a series of much loved children's books somewhere in the near future.
