According to Damien Stevens, CEO of Servosity, the expanded team will position the organization to deliver not just software solutions in the backup and disaster recovery (http://www.servosity.com/
“The planned addition of this talent adds to Servosity’s ability to be a single-source provider of backup and disaster recovery solutions for our growing customer base across North America, and we thank our customers and industry partners for their commitment and confidence,”
To accommodate the significant expansion of staff, Servosity has relocated its headquarters to occupy approximately 3200 square feet in the NEXT Innovation Center, located at 411 University Ridge in Greenville.
“It’s always exciting to see one of South Carolina’s home-grown, existing businesses increase its footprint here. We celebrate Servosity’s decision to expand and create 30 new high-paying jobs in Greenville. Announcements like this one are a great indication that the Palmetto State is the right place to do business,” said Gov. Nikki Haley.
Stevens noted that Greenville has a unique opportunity to attract high-tech talent of the sort that Servosity is seeking to expand its team.
“While Greenville and the Upstate may not be widely known yet as a hotbed of technology organizations like Servosity, the same characteristics that appealed to our growing organization to locate and grow here – quality of life, a pro-business mindset, an emerging high-impact technology ecosystem – will doubtless appeal to other organizations to consider this area. And as we continue to grow successful businesses in the technology space, we’ll draw more and more talent here. We’re excited about hiring the best available talent we can find locally for these new positions, and also reaching out across the country to find top talent that wants to do great work and have a great quality of life right here in Greenville.”
Servosity’s intuitive backup and disaster recovery solutions allow its customer network of managed service providers (MSPs) and IT resellers to manage and monitor backup and disaster recovery operations 24/7/365. As a result, MSPs and IT resellers can reduce recovery time objectives and ensure vital continuity of business operations if disaster strikes in as little as fifteen minutes. Whether a simple computer crash or complete disaster, Servosity presents its solutions as the easiest way to eliminate downtime, improving profitability.
“South Carolina was recently recognized as a top state for doing business in large part because of our workforce talent and worker training and development programs. When a high-tech company, like Servosity, chooses to expand here, it shows that our state’s workforce along with our business-friendly environment help companies prosper and create new jobs for South Carolinians,”
Servosity allows customers to backup and restore locally, to a network, and to the cloud, and supports Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as VMware, Hyper-V, Xen and Virtual Box Virtual environments. The company operates a geographically redundant SSAE16 (and SAS-70 Type II) audited cloud solution, ensuring both geographic redundancy as well as assurance of privacy and security. Customer support is provided by US-based engineers and is available 24/7/365.
“Servosity is a great example of a company combining its highly refined technology with the Upstate’s exceptional talent base to expand their business,” said H.G. “Butch” Kirven, a director of the Greenville Area Development Corporation and chairman of Greenville County Council. “The company has found a formula for success keyed on research and innovation. This is a case study of our region’s collaborative approach to expanding its knowledge economy, and this is a great example of the opportunities to be found in Greenville County and South Carolina.”
“This is a tremendous day for Greenville. Servosity has been a valued member of our growing community of knowledge-based companies since the early days of NEXT and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and success here for many years to come,” said John Moore, Executive Vice President at the Greenville Chamber and co-founder of NEXT.
“We are thrilled that Servosity has chosen to expand its presence in downtown Greenville,”
