The public is invited to attend The Rock Church on November 11th as we pay tribute and honor our American Veterans. Each branch of service will be represented in a color guard and a flag salute will kick off our worship segment that includes songs that will lift and warm your heart.
Guest speaker, Pastor Bill Davis, a Vietnam Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient and author of “Twice Dead, Now I Live” will deliver a message that will surely inspire, encourage and honor everyone who hears it.
“As I jumped for my hole, a 61mm mortar round exploded in front of me. Instantly, I had entered the realm of life after death and did not know it. I was more alive as a dead man, than I was as a living human being. Hope was leaving while doom and despair set in. Suddenly I knew I was lost. Conscious awareness began slipping away while dizziness and wooziness took over... then everything became pitch black. I do not remember looking back at my body, and will never forget that feeling of untold terror that literally shook my being. There was no doubt that I was tasting a small portion of the place called Hell.”
The true story about the "life after death experiences"
The 9:30am and 11:30am services will close with a tribute and recognition being presented to our Veterans by Senator Kirk Pearson, State Representative Liz Scott and Dr. Bob Lantrip. The whole family is encouraged to attend. We also have special activities designed for infant to 11 years old. Sunday’s events will be held at The Rock Church campus located at 16891 - 146th Street SE Monroe, WA 98272. If you are a veteran and would like to participate in our ceremony, please contact our office at 360-805-0669 x107 or email email@example.com
Everyone is also invited to return to the church for our Hang Time – Tail Gate Party, a relaxed and informal activity which begins at 1:00pm. We’ll be watching the Seahawks battle the New York Jets on our BIG SCREENS. Bring your RVs, grills, meat, friends and family to party with The Rock Church. A non-denominational church, Connecting People to LIFE is how The Rock Church defines its mission today. “Christianity is not something done only on Sunday,” Jeff Knight (Lead Pastor) notes. “Being a Christ follower impacts every moment and every day.” Don’t just make a living, but make a Life! There is real potential for meaningful relationships when you redefine your priorities to include church. You will find God, guidance and friends at The Rock Church. http://therockchurch.info
