Bedales success on the golf course

Bedales student golfers are celebrating after winning the Nett competition at the Independent Schools Golf Association (ISGA) Cup at Shire Golf Club.
 
Oct. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Bedales student golfers are celebrating after winning the Nett competition at the Independent Schools Golf Association (ISGA) Cup at Shire Golf Club. Schools all over the UK traveled to ‘The Shire London’ to compete for the 6th annual ISGA Schools Cup the week before last. A full field of 25 teams (100 players) competed and Bedales did well to battle the gusting winds on a difficult course to secure the Nett win.

In football Bedales boys’ 1st team beat Marlborough College 4-3. The U14 team continued their good form with a 9-0 win against Box Hill. The U18 girls’ football team beat Charterhouse convincingly 3-1. In hockey, the U14 girls’ team beat Priorsfield School 6-0. In the U18 rugby Hampshire Plate, Bedales beat Stanbridge Earls 29-26.

Bedales Prep, Dunhurst, hosted the U11 football tournament with six other schools competing. Dunhurst’s A team won the tournament following a 1-0 win against Ditcham Park in the final. The team also competed in the Portsmouth FC Regional 6 a side tournament and made it through to the quarter finals before just missing out to Clanfield 2-1. Overall Dunhursts’ U13 team are currently top of their league and the U11s are also in a good position at the halfway point of the season.
