O'Donnell was selected based on his active involvement in the legal, business, and local community. He is member of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association (PIPLA); the Philadelphia Brehon Law Society; and the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. In addition, he is actively involved in the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, the Irish-American Business Chamber and Network; the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC), and the Warrington Soccer Club. The 2012 Forty Under 40 will be featured in the newspapers' special section which runs on October 30, 2012 and will be celebrated during a breakfast event at the Buck Hotel in Lower Southampton, PA on the same date.
O'Donnell joined Volpe and Koenig in 2002 and was elected shareholder in 2008. He concentrates his practice on chemical and biotechnology patent prosecution, counseling clients on intellectual property strategy, licensing and litigation, and conducting validity, infringement and freedom to operate analyses. He is admitted to the US Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and US Courts of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and is also admitted before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. O’Donnell received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law and also earned a B.S., cum laude, in Biochemistry and Biology from Temple University.
