Achim grew up in a seaside community in communist Romania. But life was not always easy. In fact, it was complex and paradoxical. Though surrounded by a hardworking family in the countryside and fellow friends and students at school, Achim ploughed through life in many ways alone.
As an adult she discovered a newfound faith in Christ, which caused her to experience all kinds of trials and persecution. “The events she endured will have readers praying, arguing, and even running for their lives along with her. Many times Marinela truly appears to be alone in the midst of undue and unjust opposition, and ironically, it is at those times that you see that God is watching out for her,” said Kalie Kelch, marketing coordinator for TEACH Services.
“Because my book includes different trials, I hope and pray that people who are facing similar ones will be encouraged and chose Jesus,” Achim said. “I hope readers will develop courage and make a decision to surrender fully to God after reading my book.”
In her spare time, Achim enjoys volunteering in her local church, reading, conducting research, playing table tennis, and swimming.
