Invent-A-Part creates Curious Award from 3D printer

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 27, 2012 - On Monday October 1st, Governor Herbert presented two students and one teacher a curious award in honor of the ground breaking ceremony for the Museum of Natural Curiosity located at Thanksgiving Point. As the recipients held their award, they examined the peculiar device they received, which appeared to be made out of plastic. After analyzing their award closer, they discovered that the mechanism was indeed made of plastic and that the cogs were intended to move, and that they did, with just a flick of the thumb!

The method of creating a moving mechanism can only be done using a process called additive prototyping. This process happens to be the specialty of Invent-A-Part, Inc.
