Follow on Google News | Use caution with Septic Tank additivesAre you really getting what you think you are paying for or are you being sold something ineffective?
By: www.septiking.com This article is not to disparage septic tank additive suppliers. Some may be very legitimate. These thoughts are designed to cause you to THINK about the claims some of these websites are making. Septic tank merchants use many methods to convince you to purchase their products. Some offer a 3, 4 or 5 year supply of their bacteria containing product. Bacteria is a living organism. Do you really believe a living organism can survive 3 or 4 or 5 years? Some firms sell a liquid product which you pour into your toilet. The septic tank contains mostly water. If you subtract the water in these liquid septic tank products, how much bacteria, enzymes and actual solid substance is left to properly act in your septic system? One firm sells a five year supply of additive for less than 70 dollars including shipping. If the math is correct, shipping costs at least 10 dollars. That leaves 60 dollars to cover the five year supply. That comes down to 12 dollars per year. That equals a cost to you of ONE dollar per month. What is the cost to the firm of its raw materials? What about the profit the company makes? Does the company sell you this for altruistic reasons? Do you believe that this can be a legitimate offer? We find that bacteria has a shelf life of one year, so we at Septi King Products only sell a one year supply. After one year, the bacteria begins to degrade. Bacteria plays a crucial role in the performance of your septic system. Without bacteria your system may fail to function and may back up into your house. That is both messy and stinky. With less than the optimal amount of bacteria, the system will function slowly and may require more frequent pumping. With less than the optimum amount of bacteria, solids may seep into your drainfield and clog the pipes or reduce the soils ability to absorb the effluent it is designed to absorb. So think critically BEFORE you spend your money. For more information: Septi King Products End
