Lee NYC Continues to Lease and Renew Tenants in Upper East Side Second Ave Multi-use Building

Oct. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Lee & Associates NYC (Lee NYC), the New York office of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services, a privately-held national commercial real estate firm, today announced it closed on two leases at 244 East 84th Street, a 6-story multi-use building at the corner of 84th Street and Second Avenue it manages and leases.

Gabe Isaacs, a managing director at Lee NYC, serves as exclusive leasing agent for the building. With these two signings, the total new leases and renewals amount to five 5-year transactions in the last month. “We’ve maintained relationships with all our tenants,” says Mr. Isaacs, “and, despite the construction on the Second Avenue subway, for the most part they want to stay in the neighborhood.”

Mr. Isaacs attributes that to the neighborhood services and tenant mix. There are five office floors above the street-level retail space, which is anchored by a Two Boots Pizza restaurant. The office space houses medical offices, a personal trainer, childcare services, and Jodi’s Gym occupies two full floors.

“It’s a unique island in the neighborhood, opposite the temporary construction trailers for the subway. Our tenants have the foresight to realize that in a few years they’ll be in one of the most coveted

Upper East Side locations for ease of access to anywhere in Manhattan via the new subway line,” adds Mr. Isaacs. Until that time, the tenants at 244 East 84th Street do not seem anxious to make any changes as change occurs all around them. “New York is a city of neighborhoods, and residents want their services within a 2-block radius,” notes Mr. Isaacs. “The residents of 244 are part of that neighborhood mix and add to the flavor of the avenue and the character of the city.”
