Follow on Google News | ESdat 4.4: Faster, Even More Secure, Easier Maintenance of Standards and Exceeds ProUCL RequirementsVersion 4.4 features a number of enhancements addressing the complex and varied needs of environmental consultants and site managers even better.
By: EarthScience Information Systems Version 4.4 features a number of enhancements. It has made significant speed improvements, especially where users have large datasets, as well as on import. It also fixes most issues due to TPH/TRH convention changes. In addition, because the ProUCL format is increasingly identified as a useful format for providing data to Risk Assessment Professionals, ProUCL export from ESdat is now extended to go "beyond" ProUCL requirements. And to enhance security, sites are restricted and only a Power User can set access. Finally, in ESdat version 4.4 (SQL Server Version) all environmental standards are now available to “All” sites, even site specific standards, and will only show to the user if explicitly selected for that site, using a checkbox to select from standards previously loaded into the system. This solves the disadvantage, in previous versions, that you needed to remember to only highlight the sites you actually wanted to include prior to producing outputs when loading environmental standards. As a result of this improvement maintenance of standards in version 4.4 will be much easier. Users who are on version 4.3.3x, and who are using the Access version, will have no compelling need to update. Users of the SQL Server version should contact their IT prior to running this pre-release, which will update the database schema, primarily to accommodate change auditing and to support chemistry “profiles” ESdat is a specialist environmental database system, for use by environmental consultants and site managers; particularly those concerned with contaminated/ It allows for efficient importing from a range of systems or data sources into a central environmental database and provides data comparison and analysis, comprehensive reporting, and integration with other software. The system also performs QA analysis and has automatic data validation checks. ESdat is very user-friendly and easily adaptable to the varied needs of complex data gathering projects. According to Shaun McKenna of Tata Steel, “ESdat was operational and being actively used on projects after only two days of training. This is all the more impressive as the majority of the active users have no prior data management expertise or experience.” For more information or to purchase a copy please follow this link to contact your local distributor: http://esdat.net/ End
