The new store which opened on October 19th, is located at 6750 South 180th Street in Tukwila in the space that was formerly Basco Appliances. The opening featured a guest appearance from Mariel Hemingway, whose appearance was sponsored by Cambria. Also in attendance were 150 or more architects, designers and contractors who sampled appetizers and wine while experiencing the different kitchen displays.
The new showroom features 8500 square feet of display space. The store was designed with an inviting and brightly lit showroom that highlights several working kitchens. Consumers can see the latest displays of cabinets, counter tops, appliances and flooring.
Three major brands of cabinets are present throughout the showroom; Huntwood Custom Cabinets, Kemper and Aristokraft. Countertops feature beautiful granite, Cambria’s Quartz countertops as well as other solid surfaces.
The appliance selection includes designer appliances from Viking, Electrolux and Frigidaire and many other national brands. Customers can rely on the experience of the stores full time appliance expert.
In developing the new location, Parr’s Cabinet Director, Jeff Cox outlined the vision. “We have set out to provide an interactive, educational and inspirational process for our customers while choosing the products and services that best fit their needs and lifestyle. We want them to take ownership of their project as they become inspired and educated. One of the things we can offer that most other stores can’t is expertise. We have the best, most educated staff that you will find in any design center or cabinet showroom in the Northwest,” said Cox.
The store will host many fun and educational events throughout the year. “Having the working kitchens was a very important feature for us. We will host local chefs for in-store events,” said Cox.
