Follow on Google News | ENTIRETEC implements identity-based Multi-Service-Network as Managed Service at Kempinski hotelsLuxury hotel management group Kempinski Hotels has taken a further step towards its goal of standardized IT services throughout the group by opting to proceed with its Managed Service Strategy in partnership with IT specialist ENTIRETEC.
By: ENTIRETEC With a successful pilot project at the historic Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz already completed, the tailored ENTIRETEC Managed Service Concept has now also been implemented at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol Kitzbühel and Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square Vilnius. The concept comprises not only the central management of all network infrastructure, security and administration services used on a group-wide basis, but also intelligent identity-based guest internet solutions and user-controlled in-room entertainment. Multi-Service Network delivered as a Managed Service Previously separate areas of the network have been combined to create a high-redundancy, Multi-Service Network which provides a foundation for the integration of new multimedia and communication components. No down time occurred during implementation. ENTIRETEC now operates all infrastructures as a Managed Service, thus enabling Kempinski Hotels to minimize its administrative effort and concentrate fully on its core business – managing hotels and providing an excellent guest experience. Thomas Herrmann, CEO at ENTIRETEC, is proud to have Kempinski Hotels as a client: “Having worked jointly on this project for a number of months, we are delighted to have won over a prestigious global brand such as Kempinski Hotels with our Managed Service Concept. We have provided Kempinski Hotels with a basis which facilitates the flexible expansion of all IT infrastructure and services, as well as the adaptation thereof to changing corporate strategies and economic circumstances.” Identity-based Guest Internet Developed by ENTIRETEC, CLT SECTOR enables guests of Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group to gain identity-based, highly secure access to network resources and the internet, and replaces the purely HSIA-based solutions used to date. The user-friendly landing page adopts Kempinski Hotels’ elegant corporate identity and workflow, and allows guests to log on intuitively and automatically receive services for which they are authorized. Its connection to the hotel’s own Property Management System (PMS) allows CLT SECTOR to refer to existing guest data, and therefore facilitates the provision of person- or group-specific internet services including various bandwidths and invoicing models (depending on the guest’s status) as well as virtual conferencing. The in-room WLAN and LAN access devices provided by hardware partner Hewlett Packard ensure that an optimum connection is available in all rooms. As the concept drawn up by ENTIRETEC places particular focus on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, guests are able to access all the services for which they are authorized from anywhere in the hotel – whether they are in their room, the restaurant, the lobby or the spa area. Dominik Lefevre, Regional Information Technology Director for Europe at Kempinski Hotels, also appreciates ENTIRETEC’s consideration of business operations: "The concept was planned in detail beforehand so that the implementation caused no disruption to our guests. This proves not only ENTIRETEC’s technological know-how but also their sensitivity to the needs of a 5-star luxury hotel’s operations." Cutting-edge digital signage and user-controlled in-room entertainment Additionally, ENTIRETEC multimedia and communication solutions round off the hotel group’s comprehensive range of guest services. CLT SIGNAGE facilitates the targeted, centrally managed communication of information to hotel guests, whilst multimedia platform CLT VISION provides guests with user-controlled in-room entertainment. A wide variety of content such as Video/Music on Demand, IPTV, IP Radio, Video Conferencing and Infotainment featuring Web and Messaging functionality can also be integrated and centrally managed. Jeremy Ward, SVP Information Technology at Kempinski Hotels, confirms the group’s satisfaction with the implementation in the first four hotels: “Our guests are very demanding when it comes to service and comfort. The personalized guest internet solution and highly available multi-service network delivered by ENTIRETEC enables us to enter into active dialogue with users and give them a tailored, secure online environment. Initial feedback from hotel guests and employees has been positive, and shows that this solution is an innovative move which also strengthens customer loyalty.” End
