Umberto Bocce Debuts the Bocce Hat

Oct. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Umberto Bocce, designer and maker of fine headwear and men’s accessories announces that the “Bocce Hat” will be a foundational part of their collection.  The line will feature either an embossed or embroidered logo depicting a bocce player and bocce balls.  

Often referred to by many terms such as a flat cap, driver hat, or ivy cap, the bocce hat is a rounded men's or women's cap with a small stiff brim in front. Umberto Bocce hopes to solidify the term “bocce hat” to describe this style of hat which so often is confusing to describe.  

“The bocce hat was so commonly worn by both young boys and men in the early 1900’s.  Explains Melissa Martillo, Director at Umberto Bocce, “and we can all picture older men wearing this style hat while playing the game of bocce.”

There has been an increased popularity in this style hat, possibly as a result of more recent celebrities, such as Brad Pitt so often wearing the hats.
