Victim of Rush Limbaugh's Hate Speech Seeks Revenge in "Killing Limbaugh"Author in need of pacemaker, Sean Shealy, releases controversial new novel that confronts the hate speech and lies that have exploded out of the right wing talk show circuit and into the battleground of mainstream politics.

After speaking out against the deceptive selling of a war, Gray's wife and child are killed by a lone wolf inspired by right-wing hate radio. Gray confronts talker Rush Limbaugh at his West Palm Beach compound, forcing Limbaugh to defend his rhetoric in a tense on-air duel. In real life, sixteen Americans have been murdered by lone wolves inspired by right-wing radio. "Killing Limbaugh gives a voice to the voiceless," says Shealy. "Ninety percent of talk radio – literally – is right-wing. You don't get on those shows if you have an alternative view and can articulate it. It is dangerous because it is one-sided conversation. Killing Limbaugh makes it two-way." Shealy understands that Killing Limbaugh may trigger a maelstrom among right-wing hate mongers. In fact, he welcomes the fight. "There are larger principles at stake here than Rush Limbaugh's mindless bombast," Shealy says. "There are legal precedents being set right now that threaten free speech, formerly protected political speech, in the United States. This is happening very quietly, insidiously, and it needs to be brought into the open." "Aside from that," he continues, "America's history is disappearing, being swept aside and re-written by the Texas Board of education (some of that critical hidden history is preserved in the book). The Republic has been overthrown, replaced with a plutocracy. The future of our species, and the entire planet, is at stake in the climate change and GMO debates. In the midst of all of that, there is a serious possibility that Mitt Romney may become president of the United States. And, personally? I'm going to die in a few months without a pacemaker. Rush’s vitriolic rhetoric ensured that Americans like me would not have access to affordable healthcare. What are they going to do at this point, scare me?" The book, he explains, is being released in both hard copy and as an ebook, including instant PDF download, which will allow anyone in the world to read it. "They may use endlessly deep pockets and legal threats to kill the physical book, perhaps, but they cannot stop the ebook. These ideas will be available to anyone, forever." Shealy has been authoring columns and essays on politics and policy for more than twenty years, with subjects ranging from Constitutional law to import tariffs to the history of nonviolent action – which he supports. "Killing Limbaugh is not non-violent," Shealy's pacemaker battery is expected to die in early 2013. A replacement will cost around $35,000. But saving his own life is only half the cause. His ultimate goal is to raise awareness of the power of speech, and to get his fellow Americans to speak up against hate mongers like Limbaugh.
