Oct. 25, 2012 - Bronx Portraits: a celebration of students of Jane Addams Vocational High School as they remember their 2003 high school production of the musical Grease. The photographic portraits of the teens from 2003 and then again in 2012 are accompanied by personal narratives that explore the impact of art in public schools. The event features a musical performance by Opening Act, a group of current NYC public high school students.
Valerie Capers: A Portrait: Famed Bronx jazz pianist Dr. Valerie Capers will be on hand for the opening of an exhibit of intimate portraits made over the past 17 years of her musical career.
