A Wealth of Safety Features
For the 2013 model Accord, Honda has equipped their flagship mid-size sedan with a variety of innovative features to make driving more exciting and safe than ever. The Forward Collision Warning system detects when you might be in danger from vehicles in front of the car, while the lane departure warning system can detect when the driver has unexpectedly veered into the other lane.
To help with blind spot detection, Honda offers LaneWatch. A small camera is mounted on the exterior mirrors. When the driver signals, an image appears on the car’s i-Mid heads-up display, giving the driver a view that’s four times greater than what they would have normally from the mirrors alone. A rearview camera is also available to assist with parking.
Also featured on the i-Mid screen is a satellite-linked navigation system with voice detection, so that drivers don’t get distracted when changing their destination. The system also features FM Traffic to help avoid gridlocked streets. Additionally, drivers can store up to 16 gigabytes of music directly into the system.
ECON Driving Mode
Other exciting features offered in the stylish coupe are the ECON driving mode and Eco Assist. With the simple push of a button, ECON mode allows the driver to choose between fuel conservation and performance while Eco Assist helps the driver to develop better habits to help conserve more fuel.
