SAV Systems AirMaster wins Ventilation Product of the Year

SAV Systems' AirMaster direct, zone-specific, Demand Controlled Ventilation Ar Handling Units heat recovery have been voted Commercial / Industrial Ventilation Product of the Year in the HVR Awards 2012.

Oct. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- SAV Systems is proud to announce that their innovative AirMaster Demand Controlled Ventilation Systems are the winner of the 2012 HVR Awards.

AirMaster’s state of the art features won through against stiff competition, with the judges recognising the significant advantages that these through-the-wall/roof units deliver. These benefits include effective demand-control of Indoor Air Quality at a local level, with low noise and significant energy savings.

Technological innovation and service capabilities were some of the main criteria used by the judges - David Frise, head of sustainability at the B&ES; Mike Smith, engineering director at BSRIA; CIBSE technical adviser Gay Lawrence Race and Mike Duggan technical manager at FETA (Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (ML1) - when considering nominations and deciding on the winners.

In providing an effective alternative to centralised AHU/ductwork systems, Demand Controlled Ventilation also reduces capital costs and makes it easy and cost-effective to improve ventilation and energy efficiency in existing buildings.

AirMaster units are mounted in the space that is being ventilated, at high level or floor level, and use a direct connection to the outside through an external wall or roof. They are available in capacities from 100m3/h to 1310m3/h.

High efficiency counter-flow heat exchangers ensure heat recovery of up to 95%, while EC motor technology with low Specific Fan Power (<0.9 kW/m3/s) minimises energy consumption.

When combined with CO2 sensors AirMaster delivers true Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) at a local level, using Class F5 filtration on both supply and extract air flows to maintain IAQ, protect the heat exchanger from fouling and prevent pollution.

SAV Systems specialise in providing low carbon, energy efficient solutions for the building industry. The company provides support to building services engineers, architects and consultants, by offering innovative solutions such as AirMaster Demand Controlled Ventilation, LoadTracker CHP, FlatStation Heat Interface Units, HVAC Commissioning Modules and Automatic Energy Monitoring and Targeting.
