The personal injury team from the Shropshire based solicitors in Euston Way, Telford, recently sponsored an AFC Telford home match at the Buck’s Head ground. Following the match, they received a shirt signed by the team.
The personal injury team decided to use the signed shirt to help raise money for a very worthy cause – the Midlands Air Ambulance – by donating the shirt to the charity to help them raise money at a fund raising event.
Alison Carter, who is a partner in the Telford based legal practice and who leads the personal injury team, said: “The charity auctioned the shirt at a James Bond themed evening at The Shropshire in Muxton, and their efforts have raised over £450 from the evening so far. At Martin Kaye we’re very keen to support local organisations and it was excellent to see the signed shirt boost the total for such a worthy cause.”
This isn’t the first time that the personal injury team at Martin Kaye has supported the Midlands Air Ambulance. Every year they volunteer to help the charity with a Christmas gift wrapping service which takes place in Telford Shopping Centre, which they will be doing once again this year. They wrap the presents in their own time in return for donations to the charity. Martin Kaye believes that the Midlands Air Ambulance is an organisation which deserves all the support they can offer, so look out for them again this year before Christmas!
The Midlands Air Ambulance is the only charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. Since 1991 they have responded to more than 37,000 missions averaging 3,000 per year, or nearly 10 each day, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.
