Mystery and Suspense Awaits in Hidden Salem

It is loosely stated that nineteen persons were sentenced to death by hanging, eight more were condemned, and fifty declared to be witches, one hundred and fifty sent to Prison, and also two hundred more were accused of witchcraft.  In short, it was the most famous example of mass hysteria for its time and has since then become widely popular in literature. Stories, both old and new still arise from the actual events in both fiction and nonfiction literature.

In Hidden Salem, written by Kiki Howell,  a young woman, Makayla, is mysteriously drawn to Salem, Massachusetts. Once she arrives, she is immediately encumbered with a vision of the past. She never expected to find herself running from a evil coven of witches, or protecting her heart from a local cop. The plot thickens, when she runs into the only one that can help her escape, a witch named Lauri. What Lauri helps Makayla realize is that she may have encountered  real witch from 1692 who fled Massachusetts during the mass hysteria of the Salem witch trials.
