PRLog - Oct. 24, 2012 - NEW YORK -- Susan Heidi began drawing figurative works at age five – fascinated by the ability to create a likeness on paper, this quickly became a passion. The inspiration for her pin-up art is today’s retro pinup movement which embraces the nostalgia of a bygone era and spices it up with a modern, take-charge attitude.
Susan began as a self-taught artist working in watercolors and acrylics. More recently, she studied oil painting with master painter Paul W. McCormack. Her aim is always to create an image that comes alive. Translucent skin tones are a trademark of her style. Susan’s work is compared to that of the well known pinup masters. Her pin-up work has been exhibited by invitation with the top erotic artists from around the world and is collected in the United States and Europe. She also accepts commissions for glamour and fine art portraiture.
Susan's work has been exhibited at New York Comic Con for the last 4 years including this year's Comic Con which just wrapped up earlier this month. Her work will next be exhibited at this year's Allied Artist's of America 99th Annual Exhibition to be held at The National Arts Club this coming November.
Susan has been hailed by critics including Edward Reed of Pin-Up post.com as "..one of the best pin-up illustrators of today".
