The Florida Democratic Party to host Tim Hardaway, Silent Auction, Fundraising and Voters Education

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Miami, FL -The Florida Democratic Party will host an Evening of Fundraising and Voters Education on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00PM at Kyma Lounge located inside the Epic Hotel at 270 Biscayne Boulevard Way Miami, FL, 33131.

Guests will be given the opportunity to participate in the silent auction with items from Neiman Marcus, Miami Heat, and Signature Artwork from Icon Art Images and Free Mind Society. Special invited guests include former and current NBA and NFL Legends. The Event will feature live music from International Saxophone Artist Jon Saxx. Those in attendance will dine on delectable hors d'oeuvres from Global Culinary Architect, Chef Irie Spice.

“This event will encourage and educate people on all areas of voting. It’s not just a Democratic or Republican Event .This event is to get people to expand outside their borders, and to get the South Florida Community involved in the voting process and the enrichment of their lives no matter what their political affiliation,” said event organizer, Joyce Johnson.

During the event, IownPR the official Public Relations Agency of the South Florida National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA)will present its first 2012 Spotlight Award to former Miami Heat Player Tim Hardaway for his many achievements. In addition to being one of the league's best former point guards, Hardaway is also known for his “Off Court” achievements having founded the Tim Hardaway Foundation in 2008, the organization headed by Hardaway has developed programs and support community-based organizations in areas of Health, Education and Socio-Economical Needs for South Florida families. Hardaway will be on hand to discuss current and future South Florida projects.

Admittance to the event is free, although a suggested donation of $250 or more per individual is asked to help defray costs of the event. Proceeds from the Event will support Education and Community Outreach Programs with initiatives to inform, strengthen and educate the South Florida community.
