Treating Our Veterans Saving Our Nation

The struggles of many our veterans are currently silent cries in the dark.

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Painful images that cannot be forgotten.  Long lines for benefits that belong to them. Rejections and slow responses to social security and Medicare claims.

Many veterans’ agencies do their best to accommodate the needs of our Vets, but the number of Veterans in need of assistance is so great that keeping up with demand is a daunting task.

Several organizations such as VA Knows, a Las Vegas based business directory of companies who offer discounts specifically to vets, are doing what they can to fill the void and several others such as Veterans in Politics and Nevada’s Clean Up The Vote

Organizers are working to keep the needs of Veterans front and center in the minds of citizens. Some political candidates are even making the fight for freedom for those who have given us ours a staple of their platforms.

“I believe that the way we treat our veterans is a direct reflection of how we feel about what they did,” said Bridgette Bryant, Candidate for Nevada State Assembly’s Twelfth District. “We have to look at it from the standpoint that these individuals have literally laid down their lives and their own ambitions to make sure we stay free. There is s no greater servitude to this nation.”

In an effort to assist organizations fighting for Veterans, Bryant is holding an event designed to help release Veterans and other individuals suffering from the effects of emotional abuses such as PTSD to come and get some support and relief.

“If for just one night we can separate ourselves from the things that have happened TO us,” said Bryant. “Maybe we can get back a piece of ourselves that we lost and, hopefully, move forward with more strength and happiness.”

The event will feature several comedians who have previous won comedic accolades and appeared on national networks including Phil Peredo, Rosanne Michelle, Tek G, and Kevin O’Neal. Find ticket information at www.VoteForBryant.com/laugh or call (702) 529-1575.
