In this one-hour workshop, attendees will be divided into two teams, each challenged to use Leavitt’s 13 Forces to capture insights into assigned markets and competitors. At the conclusion of the workshop, each team will share three strategic insights and recommended actions based on those insights. Key take-aways include:
· A guide and instruction into applying multiple strategic analysis tools to gain additional insights from a holistic perspective.
· Shared learning and practical exercise on using Leavitt’s 13 Forces to capture insights into assigned markets and competitors.
· Application into how competitive intelligence professionals can take a leadership role in applying insights from the analysis into recommendations and actions.

Judy Leavitt is the Strategic Intelligence Manager in Corporate Development at Rockwell Collins and her responsibilities include strategic research and analysis for growth opportunities in new markets. She chairs the company’s Competitive Intelligence Council and serves on the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Advisory Council. A SCIP member since 1995, Judy served on the SCIP Board of Directors and was co-coordinator of the SCIP Iowa Chapter. She received the SCIP Catalyst award in 2006 and SCIP’s prestigious Fellows Award in 2008. With Jan Herring, Judy co-developed the World-Class CI Program Roadmap, which won the SCIP 2009 Best Conference Presentation award and was highlighted in a January-March 2011 CI Magazine article. She is the author of three books on women in management.
