A Poem Called “Chicken” Posted on The Wrighter

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 23, 2012 - Writer, artist and blogger, Kobina Wright posted a poem titled, “Chicken” on her blog, The Wrighter (http://www.thewrighteronline.com/2012/10/chicken-poem.html). Ironically the poem reads as a love poem as a favor is asked in a long distant relationship.

Recently, Wright was published in the latest volume of the literary magazine, Main Street Rag.  Wright’s poem titled, “Done Drove Me Crazy,” is in volume 17, Number 4 Fall 2012 issue of the literary publication.

The art that illustrates the poem on The Wrighter, is titled, “Chickens” and is inspired by the art of the late collagist, Ray Johnson, whose work was brought to light in recent years by the documentary about him titled, “How to Draw a Bunny,” directed by John W. Walter.

Kobina Wright, creator and contributor of the blog, The Wrighter, is a Southern California native with a BA in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.  She has written several books including “Raise the Red Teddy: A Single Mother’s Guide to Dating;” “The Hodaoa-Anibo Dictionary;” “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification of Something Sublime.”

Starting next month, Wright will exhibit her installation inspired by the Hodaoa-Anibo language and Tibetan Prayer Flags, through the traveling group show titled Circus Terminal, Thailand, which exhibits November 28th through December 30th in the city of Chiang Mai.
