Moreland Properties at 2012 International Symposium, lighter mood indicates return of hope globally

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- AUSTIN, TX / This past Friday, Emily Moreland, Broker and Owner of Austin boutique real estate company, Moreland Properties, headed overseas along with Broker Associate, JoCarol Snowden, to represent the firm at Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’s 2012 International Symposium in Portugal. The event, held annually, is a meeting of representatives from locally-branded, independent real estate companies across the globe.

“We are in a coastal town just outside of Lisbon. We’ve visited with brokers from London, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Florida and more places. There is definitely a more upbeat mood than last year in Madrid,” said Moreland in an email received early this morning.

With many economies going through uncertain times, Moreland Properties’ first participation in the event – in 2011 – occurred when international markets were in a decline. Though many economies have not fully recovered from global slumps, today’s market improvements, and overall increase in luxury home sales, have made many optimistic.

“Looking forward to hearing speakers today on the global real estate market. Housing in all cities affects each economy. Should be very interesting,” concluded Moreland, with a promise of more information upon her return.
