Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- According to the National School Supply and Equipment Association (NSSEA), a trade association for educational product companies public school teachers in the United States spent more than $1.33 billion out of pocket on school supplies and instructional materials.  The research revealed that teachers spent on average $356 of their own money on supplies and resources, including an average of $170 on supplies and $186 on instructional materials.

DeliveryMaxx is a proud sponsor of 2012 Nebbie Williams Elementary Walk-A-Thon which is the Rockwall's elementary school one and only school wide fundraiser.  According to Rockwall Independent School Districts website, proceeds from this all day event will go toward instructional supplies for classrooms and PTA sponsored activities on the campus.

Nebbie Williams Elementary meets all of the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) according to the Texas Education Agency website measuring reading/language arts, mathematics, and attendance rate when 48% of Texas schools failed to meet these standards.  

Named after Ms. Nebbie Williams, a former highly respected Rockwall teacher, the elementary is located in Rockwall, Texas.  Ms. Williams worked in a one-room school house in 1928 until she retired in 1971.  She began her career teaching all grades and all subjects in a one-teacher county school, later becoming Rockwall High School's science teacher, and ended her 43-year tenure as a fourth grade teacher in Rockwall Elementary School.
